6 Ways To Source Content Ideas For Your Business
What to post?
What does my audience like?
It is so frustrating to think about what you should post or what kind of content to put it out there for your audience.
Don’t worry.
I have got you covered.
Here are 6 great ways to source new content ideas for your business.
1.Create Topic Lists
A great idea to start with, create a long list of potential topics all at once.
It is okay to take some time to research on different topics for ideas.
And when you are ready to write new content, you will know exactly what to write thus saving you time and trust me, it is super-efficient.
2. Social Media Followers
Start with signing up an Instagram account for your business if you don’t have one.
Then, find people that relate to your business and follow them.
When you have a couple of followers or people you are following, click on their profiles and see what they’re talking about.
Read through their posts, check out their photos, and see what brands they are interacting with.
However, some of these may lead to a dead-end, but others can be extremely beneficial to your brainstorming process.
If you are lucky enough to have a ton of followers, you can ask your followers directly.
For example, post a question on your Instagram story, and ask for replies.
The answers will help you come up with new content ideas.
3.Competitor Websites
This is another great way to come up with new content ideas.
Don’t be afraid to check out your competitor’s blog or social media.
Don’t misunderstand, I am not telling you to steal or plagiarize.
But there is nothing wrong with curating the content idea.
You can look through their posts and start writing down topics you have not thought of or covered yet.
It is a huge advantage here because you can try to make your post about the same topic even better than theirs.
4.New Product and Technology
Just launched a new product? or Just used a new gadget recently?
You can make a review post out of it or if you can, make it into a video post!
Another option is, you can write reviews for products you don’t own and never used.
Just do a little research on customer reviews or discussions about that particular product and come up with your own review.
5.Industry Publications
Find websites in your industry that publish all the latest news, trends, tips, and everything else your audience will love.
Look for the articles or blogs with the most engagement (comments, shares, views, etc.)
Because those are popular and what the hot topics are.
Then, create content on those topics, and try to either bring a different viewpoint or expand on what’s already been discussed.
6.Content Topic Generators
If you are still stuck and can’t think of anything to write about or research, use online sources to help you generate topics.
For example, HubSpot blog ideas generator or SEM rush.
Just put in a keyword that relates to your business or any particular content you want to create and the tool will automatically come up with a list of topics.
It is pretty simple and easy.
While you may suffer from the creator’s block, take advantage of these ways to help you come up with content ideas for your business.
